What is Cacay nut?

Cacay nut oil is extracted from the nuts of caryodendron orinocense, an evergreen tree indigenous to the north-west of South America.

This oil has been traditionally used in many Amazonian communities for treating various skin ailments including acne, eczema, dry skin, psoriasis, healing cuts amongst many others.

What is good about Cacay nut?

Unrefined cacay nut oil boasts extremely high vitamin A and retinoic acid content. It is also very high in vitamin E and linoleic acid (omega-6) which help promote ultra healthy, supple skin.

Additionally, Cacay oil is known to penetrate deeper into the dermis than other carrier oils, which support its ability to regenerate skin cells and stimulate collagen production.
